Yalding Farmers’ Market:
Yalding Farmers Market is a local producers’ market, held monthly in the High Street, Yalding on the third Saturday of every month between 10am and 1pm.
From its inception in the year 2000, now an average of 12 stalls offer fresh food and market garden produce, the large majority of it from within a six miles radius of Yalding, including the following:
Fruit and vegetables, including organic; lamb, beef and pork meats; venison, wild boar meats; pork sausages, plain and herb; bread and bakery products; cheeses; honey, beeswax, candles and polish; jams and chutneys, cake and bakery prepared mixes; asparagus and soft fruit; smoked fish products; fudge; fresh apple juice and other fruit juices; olives, herbs etc; plants, cut flowers, herbs, seeds and gardening books
A feature of the market is a refreshment stall, run each month by different village organisations (e.g. supporters of the Scouts, schools, the Church etc). The stall barbeques for bacon rolls and sausages in rolls, featuring the popular Yalding Hopper sausages made for us by East Sutton Park. Hot tea and coffee, as well as fruit juices are also served.
Entertainment is sometimes provided alongside the market. Free parking is available in the village.
