Yalding Yuletide Celebrations!
Christmas celebrations commence in Yalding, with the much-anticipated annual Yuletide Market in the High Street on Saturday, 5th December 2009, 5pm till 8pm.
Now in its tenth year, this hugely popular event promises to be even bigger and better than before and will provide seasonal excitement and entertainment for young and old alike.
No Yuletide event would be complete without an illuminating start to the evening’s festivities. Father Christmas will be lighting up the village Christmas tree, after carols sung by the children from Twyford Pre-School.
As befits a Yuletide event of such standing, we have plenty of entertainment lined up: Bookings are still being confirmed so watch this space and the Parish magazine for updates.
The well established Yalding Farmers’ Market will open from 5pm, where you will be able to purchase fresh local produce including meat, sausages, bread and preserves and also gifts and plants.
As well as high quality food and drink, you will find seasonal essentials such as Christmas trees, holly wreaths and decorations. Many good quality craft stalls including candles, preserves, ceramics, cards and handmade jewellery will also be open on the night.
A wide range of refreshments, liquid and hot and cold food will be available. Watch this space and the Parish magazine for more taste-bud tempting details.
The High Street will be closed to traffic on the night, so your complete safety is ensured. Bring the family, meet some friends, and join in this most enjoyable annual event. See www.yaldingfarmersmarket.co.uk for more details, highlights from last year and location. We look forward to seeing you there!
